Exciting news… our school has been awarded the ‘Silver Artsmark’ award by the Arts Council in recognition of our arts provision.

Our award is valid for two years and as you’d expect, we’re not going to ease up in the interim. We will continue to review and develop both our curriculum and extra-curricular offer for our children to ensure our arts and culture provision is of a high standard.
Here’s a little snapshot of the feedback we’ve received…
‘You are positively increasing the emphasis on arts and culture and engaging with the Arts is having tangible results on pupils and staff. The arts feature in the School Improvement Plan and are supported by the Senior Leadership Team, a specialist music teacher, extra-curricular activities, and a newly developed progression linked curriculum for Music and Art and Design. All pupils access a consistent and relevant range of experiences in school which leads to showcasing within school and the local community. There is delivery of Arts Award at Discover, Explore and Bronze levels – which is great for engagement and pupil choice over their own learning… It’s great to see you consider the impacts of equality, diversity, and inclusion in terms of pupils accessing provision… Congratulations on your Artsmark Silver Award!’
