Good morning Willow Class! I hope you are all having a great week so far. I absolutely loved reading your opening chapters to your innovation of ‘Wonder’! I know these are going to be amazing. 

English – LO: To develop a story based on ‘Wonder’ which blends action, dialogue and description.

Today, you are going to write your second chapter based on the plan you created earlier this week. Don’t forget, to achieve your lesson objective, you need to blend action, dialogue and description.

SPaG – LO: To edit and improve writing.

In the paragraph below, there are many of your Key Stage 2 spellings which have been spelled incorrectly. You need to find the words and then use a dictionary, wordhippo or your own knowledge to correct the spellings. 

Yesterday, I went to see my freind who used to be amazing at gymnastics. I took her round some 

flowers which she was really gratefull for. We went out for a walk and popped into the librery to 

get a couple of books. I could’nt wait to get home and read the book I’d chosen. I was determind to 

start reading on my own before I went to bed. 

 D and T – LO: To design a product based on a design brief.

Last week, I asked you to design your own puppet. This week, I want you to design a different style of puppet, for example if last week you designed a stick puppet, this week you might design a dummy puppet. When you design this, you need to include the following:

  • Labelled resources for what you will need to make this
  • Labels to explain why you have chosen that design feature
  • Size labels
  • Colour

I can’t wait to see how creative you guys can be!

Once you are there, click on the drop down menu and find ‘Primary EBooks NOW’ as your school. It will then ask you for your username and password.

The password is the 3 digit number that you use for Reading Cloud which is in the front of your reading record.

Red and Orange Group – LO: To identify character’s thoughts and feelings.

You may choose to read over the book or just skim read a few pages to remind you from Monday. You then need to create a role on the wall for a character from the text. Think about how they are feeling in a diverse world.

Yellow and Green Group – LO: To identify character’s thoughts and feelings from a text.

Today, you need to read from chapter two to chapter four. Think about how the main character is now feeling. There is a mixture of emotions so I want you to try to include all of these in a role on the wall.

Blue Group – LO: To identify character’s thoughts, feelings and emotions.

You need to read up to chapter three today. Once you have done this, I then want you to create a role on the wall which includes all of Molly’s feelings so far.
