MFL – LO: To timetable your daily routine in English and translate into French.

Today. we are going to timetable the routines we follow during the day. First we are going to write them in English, including the time, and then translate them into French.

Begin by watching the video below, in order to get some ideas.

Remember to keep your presentation neat and you might want to add pictures to make it look more attractive. Practice reading your timetable out loud to a family member, in order to help with your confidence. We look forward to seeing your work!

Art – LO: To use the work of an artist to develop our own skills.

Today we are going to continue looking at the work of Laurence Stephen Lowry and use his techniques and styles to produce a picture of our own. We know that he had a passion for painting what he saw on the streets of Salford and Manchester, paying attention to the surrounding buildings and the people around.

Watch the video below to get some helpful tips on how to draw buildings and simplistic characters.

Your task is to use Lowry’s style to draw what you see around your streets and houses. You might want to look out of the window and draw what you see, or you might want to take a walk around your area, perhaps taking some photos. You can decide! Try to include some people in your piece.

Use the tips from the video on how to draw the simple images and use perspective. You might want to challenge yourself to use paint (just five colours), if you have it available, however pencil is fine. Enjoy being creative, and don’t forget to send in your work!
